Eligible families can now access up to 15 hours of funded childcare per week.

This support helps parents balance work and childcare while giving children a rich learning experience.

All 3 and 4‑year‑olds in England are entitled to 15 hours of free early education per week during term time.

Families who meet the eligibility criteria can access up to 30 hours of funded childcare each week – that’s 1,140 hours per year.

From September 2025, even more families will benefit from the extended government scheme.

Eligible working parents of children aged from 9 months up to school age may be able to access up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week during term time.
